Open Board Positions
VP Ways & Means: Research new fundraisers, help find chairs for those fundraisers. Support chairs in making goals and organizing volunteers when needed. Make sure chairs have correct financial vouchers, tax ID.
VP Membership: We are hoping to move to all online registration for next year. If we do both online and paper registration; you would enter data of paper registration into our PTA data base. Plan ideas to boost membership. Remind parents of membership deadlines. Create ways to show parents value of becoming PTA member.
Box Tops: Collect box tops from LVMS office, send out information regarding box tops to parents, cut and make sure no tops are expired, mail out tops (you can have a committee to help collect and count)
50/50 Raffle: Plan one time 50/50 raffle. Tickets go home, you collect orders, announce winners, fill out paperwork
Eblasts: Gather information (events coming up/deadlines/help needed) from chairs and put info together to send out to parents via email on the 1st & 15th of every month
Website Master: Keep website up to date with information from chairs/possibly update design
6th grade Social Chairs: Plan & Organize 2-3 socials for the 6th grade class throughout the year. In the past socials have been held at Ort Farm, Circle Lanes & Entertainment, Skyzone, etc. It’s open for you to plan and choose. 1st Social is usually Sept/beginning of Oct.
8th Grade Celebration Chairs: Plan event usually held 1st Friday in June to celebrate 8th grade promotion, lead the 8th grade celebration sub-committees, adhere to budget and communicate with school administration. Planning usually begins a few months prior to the event
8th Grade Balloons/Signs: Plan and organize balloon and sign sales
Audit Committee: (3 needed) Use the national PTA Audit form to make sure Treasurer’s Annual report is correct. (can not be a board member)
Spirit Wear Chairs/Committee:
1.Be liaison for our Spirit Wear Company (chairs)
2.Pick up orders when ready (chairs and/or committee member)
3.Place order in late July (chair)
4.Sell items at summer walk through, back to school nights (chair and/or committee members)
5.Attend school store each month to sell items (chair and/or committee members)
6.Place 2nd order before Holidays (chair)
Staff Breakfast: Supply breakfast for staff on teacher’s 1st day, September 4, 2018 (kids start next day 9/5)
Staff Luncheon: During Staff Appreciation Week (usually 2nd week of May)
